Meet the Indigenous rangers protecting Country and Culture

Indigenous women are stepping up as rangers across Northern Australia, supported by Aboriginal Land Councils, Aboriginal Corporations and conservation partners. These women work on threatened species, fire, ferals, revegetation and other vital conservation projects, but they are also mothers, community leaders and role models living in some of the most remote, challenging parts of Australia.

Hear their incredible stories...

Sumayah

Raylene

Meet Raylene! She's a member of the nation’s first all-female, all-Indigenous ranger aerial burning chopper crew looking after Ngurrara Country in the Kimberley.
