Festool
The environment has enlisted a powerful new ally, or a power tool ally at least, as WWF has entered an agreement with Festool, the German power tool manufacturer. And the fit is far more natural than one might first assume.
The agreement will help WWF with its ultimate goal to build a future where people live in harmony with nature. As of July this year, Festool has been supporting the work of WWF in various countries by donating proceeds from the sale of four of its most popular, high quality products.
Festool products are characterised by their durability, quality and positive ecological properties. For example, components are made from recyclable materials. Proceeds from the sales of these products will be donated to WWF in the country of purchase. And Festool have committed to supporting WWF for two years!
Through the production of quality tools, there is a reduced demand on resources. With their products built to last there is less need to replace tools.
WWF-Australia's Head of Corporate Affairs, Peter Brandis, said, "We're delighted to be involved with any company that demonstrates environmental awareness and a willingness to adapt business practice to better the environment we all live in. Festool have done exactly this, and are also helping to finance our work through proceeds of sales from their products, which we greatly appreciate."
