Roosters kick off the lights for Earth Hour

Sydney City Roosters is proud to get behind Earth Hour, which will see Sydney businesses and residents turn their lights off for one hour at 7.30pm on March 31 in a huge environmental initiative aimed at reducing the city's greenhouse gas emissions.
As captain of the Roosters, Craig Fitzgibbon knows how important it is for the team to encourage Roosters fans and the community to work together as a team to combat climate change.
"The team can't reach its full potential without the support of all the fans. The same principal applies when it comes to caring for the environment. It's essential that the community supports environmental causes such as Earth Hour for the sake of our children and future generations and roosters," Fitzgibbon said.
"The Sydney City Roosters involvement is an example of how role models within the community can have a positive influence when it comes to dealing with climate change – as it is only with cross community support that we will make a real difference," Andy Ridley, WWF Australia National communications manager said.
