Keywords
  • marine pollution
  • climate change

WWF is horrified by a hoax challenge that's been circulated suggesting people should put plastic bags over their heads to raise funds for WWF to work on marine pollution. This is potentially lethal. If you come across this shared anywhere we ask you to not re-share it, and to reply that it's a dangerous hoax.

WWF is not involved in any such campaign, challenge or with any associated posters or artwork and condemns the irresponsibility of suggesting people undertake life endangering actions for any reason.
