WWF-Australia - for a living planet

WWF Orang utan adventure in Borneo

WWF-Australia has just launched a unique 13 day tour to Borneo in conjunction with World Expeditions.

The trip leaves in September and costs just $4220, including return airfares from Sydney to Borneo.
This is an all-inclusive price, $1000 of which World Expeditions will donate directly to WWF's conservation efforts.

The trip will include travelling to the north of Malaysian Borneo, which is a nature lover's playground. It boasts an extraordinary array of geographical variations including palm-fringed coastlines, dense forest and high mountains. Sabah's flora and fauna is as varied as its geography. Half of the land is covered in impenetrable tropical rainforest where the Rafflesia thrives - the world's largest flowering plant, together with an eclectic mix of other unusual plants.
The wildlife will also be a highlight, with the group likely to see orang utans, proboscis monkeys, giant turtles and beautiful birds.

The WWF tour commences the journey by visiting Kinabalu National Park where the rock slabbed summit of Borneo's highest peak sprouts high above a forest full of endemic plants.

The second stage focuses on wildlife, with the orang utans at Sepilok, the native proboscis monkeys along the Kinabatangan River and the giant turtles at Selingan Island.

Finally, you'll have a few days of complete relaxation at the beautiful Rasa Ria Resort where in the jungles behind, orang utan clamber amongst the forest, providing us with further viewings of this marvellous creature as well as a multitude of birds, before heading home.
